OPP Release Name Of Deceased After Fatal Collision On Hwy. 11

OPP in Orillia have responded to a fatal collision involving a pedestrian, on Highway 11 near Line 5, Oro-Medonte.

On June 6 shortly after 10 p.m., emergency services received numerous calls reporting that a pedestrian had been struck on Highway 11, northbound, near Line 5. Orillia.

OPP officers, along with County of Simcoe Paramedic Services (CSPS) and Oro-Medonte Fire and Emergency Services responded and, tragically, a deceased female pedestrian was located on the highway. Two vehicles were identified as being involved in the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Caitlyn Benson-Hutchinson, age 29, of Schomberg.
