About Us

Welcome to Muskoka411, the premier source for breaking news, weather, traffic and events in Muskoka! When Muskoka411 first started on April 11 (411) in 2014, the website and social platforms were designed for readers of all ages so it was easy to use and navigate, providing the ability to get important information in real time. Now over five years later, we have become the go-to source of information for readers across cottage country and beyond.

About Muskoka411

At Muskoka411, we believe you should get the news as it happens. Whether it’s a breaking story, local and cottage country traffic updates, or up-to-the-minute weather details, Muskoka411 is committed to bringing you the most timely, factual and comprehensive news coverage in the district. Muskoka411 covers the entire Muskoka region as well as surrounding areas including Orillia, Parry Sound, Algonquin Highlands, Haliburton and more.

Our office headquarters is located in Gravenhurst at 130 North Muskoka Road and doubles as a storefront for our partner brand Do Muskoka, offering affordable wearables and collectibles for pick-up or shipping. Our team of reporters, traffic spotters and photographers work hard to make sure local news is delivered as it happens 24 hours a day, 365 days each year. The team is made up of paid employees as well as volunteers that work to provide the best digital news coverage in the region, in part thanks to tips from the public.

In addition to news coverage, our website offers information about events, a live weather cam and a job board as well as merchandise from Do Muskoka. The Muskoka411 Party Patrol is also available to attend events, festivals and businesses with our booth and vehicle, providing games, prizes and fun. Whether you’re looking for event coverage on social media, or for a way to sample new products with the public, our event team has it covered.

We do our best to provide the best news and photography in Muskoka while always striving to follow Ethics Guidelines established by the Canadian Association of Journalists.
