Driving in cold weather can be a challenge for electric vehicle (EV) owners, but GTA Muskoka-bound drivers can now enjoy peace of mind in all weather conditions. First, a recent study by the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) has proven that even under harsh winter conditions, EVs have more than enough range to comfortably reach Muskoka. The CAAEV Winter Test evaluated the real-world performance of 14 popular EV models on a cold winter day. They drove them until they ran out of power to determine what range drivers should expect vs published ranges. The study confirmed that even the EV that had the largest drop versus its promised range (-39% / best was only -14%) can cover the distance from the GTA to Bracebridge with room to spare (distance estimated at 200kms).
