Provincial Police In Orillia are investigating a sudden death that occurred at a hydro transformer plant on Industrial Drive in Orillia.
On Saturday, March 19, 2022, just before 2:30 a.m., officers from the Orillia OPP Detachment along with Orillia Fire and Emergency Services responded to a call for a transponder fire.
An individual was located with vital signs absent and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Initial investigation indicated that the male victim entered the transformer compound unlawfully and was electrocuted.
The victim has been identified as Justin Coombs, 43, of Orillia.
The investigation is ongoing by members of the Orillia OPP Crime Unit
