Huntsville OPP were called at 6:18 p.m., March 18, 2022 to an address on Brennan Circle, Town of Huntsville.
A report was made that a 72-year-old male, Karel Vandenheuvel had not returned home after going out onto Lake Vernon on his All-Terrain Vehicle earlier that day.
Huntsville OPP officers initiated the search for the missing male. Central Region OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Aviation Services, OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit were deployed to assist in the search.
On March 20, 2022, the male (deceased) was located and recovered from Lake Vernon in the area of Rock Island.
