Farm Tractor Operator Charged With Impaired After Collision In Seguin Township

The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged one person with multiple charges including impaired driving as a result of a collision.

On May 22, 2024, shortly before 11:00 a.m. members of the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a report of a collision between a farm tractor and a motor vehicle on Highway 141 in Seguin Township. The driver of the farm tractor left the scene of the collision prior to police arrival but was identified by witnesses.

As a result of the investigation, Ronald Rowe, 55 years-of-age of Seguin Ontario was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – Alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code – 7 counts
  • Dangerous operation
  • Failure to stop after accident
  • Fail to report accident

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on July 4, 2024. The farm tractor was impounded for 45 days.
