Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded at 9:35 a.m. May 19, 2021 to a driving complaint followed by a call of a vehicle into the ditch on Champlain Road Tiny Township. Attending officers spoke with the lone driver and entered into an impaired driving investigation. Further scene investigation resulted in the seizure of a quantity of a substance believed to be Fentanyl, a set of scales and drug related paraphernalia. The driver was transported back to detachment for further investigation by a OPP Drug Recognition Officer (DRE) to determine the cause and level of impairment.
As a result of this investigation Jason Roger Dolson 48 years of Tiny Township has been charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – drugs
- Operation While Prohibited
- Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)
The accused has a future court date.
