Impaired Driver Charged Near An Elementary School In Bracebridge

The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged three more drivers with impaired driving related offences.

On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 10:20 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers along with Muskoka EMS and Bracebridge Fire Department responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred on Cedar Lane near an elementary school in Bracebridge, in a school zone.

The vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree and the driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries.  Officers conducted an investigation and have arrested and charged 45-year-old David Grand, of Bracebridge, ON, with:

  • Impaired Operation
  • Operation While Prohibited X 2
  • Driving while under suspension X 2

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on November 17, 2026 to answer to his charges.
