Bracebridge Resident Charged With Impaired After Refused Service At Local Establishment

The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged another driver with impaired driving related offences.

On Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 4:50 p.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a report from a member of the public expressing concern about the condition of a driver after he was refused service at a retail establishment.

Police located the vehicle and driver and subsequently arrested and charged 80-year-old William Hurford, of Bracebridge, ON, with Impaired Operation and Over 80.

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 15, 2026 to answer to his charges.
