Another impaired driving arrest: On July 1 at 3:02 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Muskoka Road 118 East in Bracebridge.
A nearby resident heard the collision from their home and contacted the OPP. Officers located the vehicle into the rock cut and as a result arrested and charged 22 year-old Jared Leaman of Caledon, ON with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on August 31, 2021 to answer to his charges.
Officers will continue to patrol our roadways and waterways and those drivers found impaired by alcohol or drugs will have a date in criminal court, have their driver’s license suspended immediately for 90 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days. Be responsible and make good decisions, and help others make good decisions too!
How about forfeiture of the vehicle upon conviction. Might help curb this pandemic of impaired drivers!
