Huntsville Investigates Cybersecurity Incident And Facility Impacts

The Town of Huntsville is currently investigating a cybersecurity incident that was discovered over this past weekend. Upon discovering this incident, we initiated our incident response protocol and took immediate steps to isolate impacted systems and take others offline as a precaution.

The Town has engaged a team of cybersecurity specialists to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the cause and extent.

As a result of the incident, please see the following updates:

⦁    Town Hall will be closed to the public on Monday, March 11, 2024.
⦁    The Algonquin Theatre day camp is running.
⦁    The Canada Summit Centre is open, March Break Day Camp and programming is operating at the facility.
⦁    The Library will be closed, however scheduled March Break programs are running.

The Town is committed to being as transparent as possible regarding this incident and its implications for our community. Regular updates will be provided regarding this incident, the impact to Town services, and any interim measures being implemented.
