Georgian Bay Fire and Emergency Services say station 2, 3 and the Muskoka Lakes Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1 a.m. on Sunday in the MacTier area on McCombs Rd. When crews arrived, the house was fully involved in flames. Everyone inside and pets made it out safe.
There were no injuries reported. There were over 20 firefighters on scene for five hours.
The fire department says this is a good reminder to have working smoke alarms, a fire escape plan and that your family practices and knows this plan.
