The Township of Muskoka Lakes announced today the appointment of Crystal Paroschy to the position of Director of Legislative Services, Clerk effective March 13, 2023.
The Director of Legislative Services, Clerk is responsible for administrative support and guidance for the Township and works closely with the Mayor and Members of Council. In addition, this department oversees municipal elections that are held every four years.
“Given her experience in municipal administration and a keen interest in continuous improvement, Crystal will be an important part of the team,” said Derrick Hammond, Chief Administrative Officer. “Township staff look forward to working with her in this important leadership role.”
Crystal holds a Diploma in Business Administration and has completed the Municipal Administration, Finance and HR Programs from AMCTO. She has been working for the Town of Huntsville in various roles since 2012, and as the Deputy Clerk and Accessibility Coordinator since 2016.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Muskoka Lakes team, and look forward to collaborating and working with Staff, Council and the Community,” stated Paroschy. “I was born and raised in Muskoka, and love the people, culture and natural environment here.”
