As the world recognizes World Cancer Day on February 4, Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka is inviting the community to come together and celebrate connection, compassion, and hope throughout 2026 with a full calendar of meaningful, community-driven events in support of anyone impacted by cancer. “On World Cancer Day, we honour the truth that every cancer experience is unique. No two experiences are the same, yet many share the feeling of facing cancer alone. At Gilda’s Club, we believe community is stronger than cancer. said Lana Hann, Executive Director. This year’s theme, United by Unique, reflects what we see every day inside our Red Door, people with different experiences coming together to support one another with compassion and strength. Our mission is to ensure that anyone impacted by any type or stage of cancer knows that connection, understanding, and support are here for them.
This year also marks a special milestone as Gilda’s Club celebrates what would have been Gilda Radner’s 80th birthday, honoring her enduring legacy and belief in the power of community, laughter, and showing up for one another.
Known for its iconic Red Door and warm, welcoming clubhouse, Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka provides emotional support, education, and hope to individuals and families facing a cancer diagnosis — all at no cost. In 2026, the organization is opening its doors even wider, inviting residents, businesses, and community partners across Simcoe
