The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) officers with fraud and breach of trust in on-duty incidents.
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the NAPS Chief of Police requested that the OPP investigate allegations involving two NAPS members. The investigation commenced under the direction of the OPP Professional Standards Unit.
On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the OPP arrested and charged Dylan Anderson, 25 years old of Thunder Bay, with the following Criminal Code offences:
o Fraud over $5,000
o Breach of trust by public officer
On Monday, September 28, 2026, the OPP arrested and charged Michael Mcinnis, 32 years old of Murillo, with the following Criminal Code offences:
o Fraud over $5,000
o Breach of trust by public officer
Both accused have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay on Wednesday, December 16, 2026.
