At 8:30 a.m. West Parry Sound OPP responded to a train derailment event near Felsman Drive in McDougall Township.
OPP said a number of rail cars were derailed from a train due to a track washout. No injuries or spills occurred and as such there are no public safety concerns.
CP Police have assumed control of the scene and CP crews have attended to repair the track and re-rail the cars.

A CN train carrying intermodal containers derailed at approximately 8 a.m. local time while operating on CP’s rail network near Parry Sound.
There were no injuries, and there are no public safety concerns.
CP immediately dispatched teams to the site. CP crews are making initial assessments of the situation.
The incident is under investigation.
