As construction of the new Muskoka Lumber Community Centre (MLCC) continues, the Town of Bracebridge has released the first in a series of videos about the facility.
The video is intended to express the importance of the facility as the team behind the MLCC shares information on community fundraising initiatives. It also details features of the new community centre, including indoor sports facilities, a regulation-size ice rink and a new library with green screens, recording equipment and more. See the video below.
Community Fundraising
The Community Fundraising Committee has been busy meeting with businesses and community supporters to raise funds through naming rights and donations. As the project moves forward, the Community Fundraising Committee invites locals to invest in Bracebridge’s future.
“Your contribution will have a lasting effect on our community and will help create a place where dreams are made and realized,” said a statement from the committee. “Opportunities for sponsoring naming rights to facilities spaces and amenities in the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre are still available and we encourage you to view the list of current opportunities on Engage Bracebridge.”
For those individuals, families and businesses who are looking for other ways to be involved and donate to this community project, the town and the Bracebridge Public Library will soon be launching two more community fundraising initiatives: the Muskoka Lumber Arena “Best Seat in the House” seat sale and the Library “Sponsor a Stack” bookcase sale.
