Terry Pilger issued the following statement:
“I am running for the position of Mayor in the Town of Gravenhurst.
Our town has faced many challenges, and still do, but we have also made a lot of progress over the past few years. We need to keep this momentum going and continue to work together. We need the right kind of leadership from the mayor’s office.
That leadership means taking good care of our community and its people and a willingness to stand up for Gravenhurst. This simple approach has guided my efforts as a Councillor for many years. Now, I am asking for your support so I can put that experience to work as your mayor.”
Pilger was one of the District of Muskoka councillors that tried to force unnecessary, extremely expensive ($20K+ to hook up plus $1,500+ extra every year after that) sewers on residents in Bracebridge.
Without telling us we could stop them with a petition as required.
We had to find that out on our own.
He only represented the interests of the District, not residents.
For documentation of the above Google “Oppose Bracebridge Sewers” for the website.
