During the morning of April 20, 2023, members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of the OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Bancroft Crime Unit and the members of the Bancroft OPP Detachment executed two search warrants at two residences in the Town of Bancroft.
Officers seized a total of 10 firearms, a crossbow, and a large quantity of ammunition.
As a result of this investigation Donald VAUTOUR, 63 years of age from Bancroft has been charged with 8 counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Lisa Duynisveld, 40 years of age from Bancroft, and Irvin Whyte, 46 years of age from Bancroft have also been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm.
All of the individuals were released on an undertaking to attend court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 9th, 2023.
