Significant Snowfall Expected Sunday

A strengthening low pressure system is expected to bring significant snowfall to the region beginning Sunday and continuing through Sunday night before tapering off Monday morning. The bulk of the precipitation is expected to fall throughout the day on Sunday.

Uxbridge – Beaverton – Northern Durham Region,
Pickering – Oshawa – Southern Durham Region,
Midland – Coldwater – Orr Lake,
Orillia – Lagoon City – Washago,
Port Carling – Port Severn,
Bracebridge – Gravenhurst,
Fenelon Falls – Balsam Lake Park – Northern Kawartha Lakes,
Lindsay – Southern Kawartha Lakes,

 

There remains some uncertainty as to the track of the low however there is the potential that some areas could see total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm by Monday morning.
