Life is a little more “grand” for Rachel Brown of Seguin. She matched all five main numbers to win a second prize of $25,000 a year for life with DAILY GRAND in the February 10, 2022 draw. She opted for the lump sum prize of $500,000. She also won $5 on her ENCORE selection, bringing her total winnings to $500,005!
Rachel says she has been a regular lottery player for many years. “I always play Quick Picks and add ENCORE. This is my first big win!” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
The health care worker stopped at the store for an iced tea when she decided to check her tickets. “I saw Big Winner and I froze,” she recalled. “I checked it again and I didn’t think it was real. It was completely unexpected!”
Rachel shared the big news with her mom right away. “She is so happy for me,” she smiled.
She plans to pay some bills and invest her winnings. “I will also send my parents on a trip so they can relax and unwind and treat myself to a new fishing rod and some upgrades to my boat,” she said.
