Seizure Nets a Variety Stolen Property
As a result of an ongoing police investigation, members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit from Southern Georgian Bay and Collingwood Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police with the assistance of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed a search warrant at a Tinney Drive, Penetanguishene residence at approximately 7:00 a.m. February 16, 2024.
Officers seized a quantity of property believed to have been stolen from area residences and businesses and are currently working to reunite the victims to their property.
Investigators have arrested and charged Damon Wright 21 years of Penetanguishene with the following criminal charges.
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (three counts)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Trafficking (two counts)
- Theft of Property (two counts)
The accused was released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 14, 2024.
