Reduced Load Limit Period Begins March 13

Effective Monday, March 13 at 12:01 a.m., the annual reduced load limit will be in place to ensure the road base on all Town of Bracebridge roadways are not damaged due to thawing temperatures and heavy vehicles. Temporary signage will be installed to remind drivers of the restriction, however the absence of signage does not waive the restriction. The load limit will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31 unless otherwise specified.

The following roads are exempt from the reduced load limit period:

  • Armstrong Street from Wellington Street (Muskoka Road 118 West) to Wellington Street (Muskoka Road 118 West)
  • Ball’s Drive from Muskoka Road 118 West to West Mall Road
  • Barron Drive from Taylor Court to the end of the road
  • Cedar Lane from the Tayor Road roundabout (Muskoka Road 42) to Fraserburg Road (Muskoka Road 14)
  • E.P. Lee Drive from Lagoon Lane to Robert Dollar Drive
  • Gray Road from Monica Lane to the end of the road
  • Keith Road from Ecclestone Drive (Muskoka Road 118 West) to its southerly end
  • Kirk Line from Rosewarne Drive to Highway 11
  • Kirk Line West from Highway 11 to 100 metres westerly
  • Kirkhill Drive from Ecclestone Drive (Muskoka Road 118 West) to the end of the road
  • Lagoon Lane from Ecclestone Drive (Muskoka Road 118 West) to its westerly end
  • Monica Lane from Cedar Lane to Gray Road
  • Robert Dollar Drive from Ecclestone Drive (Muskoka Road 118 West) to E.P. Lee Drive
  • Rosewarne Drive from Taylor Road to Kirk Line
  • Salmon Avenue from Wellington Street (Muskoka Road 118 West) until the end of the road
  • Tayor Court from Taylor Road until the end of the road
  • Taylor Road from Highway 11 to Rosewarne Drive
  • West Mall Road from Muskoka Road 118 West to Ball’s Drive
  • Winhara Road from Ecclestone Drive (Muskoka Road 118 West) to the Town of Gravenhurst boundary
