Bracebridge OPP officers were notified by members of the public who noticed a vehicle parked in the area of Power Point Road in Bracebridge, that matched the description of one related to a missing person investigation, Mark Nevins from Huntsville.
Responding officers attended the area and confirmed that it was the same vehicle last that Mr. Nevins was with.
Officers did not find anyone with the vehicle and immediately commenced a search of the area around the hydro dam and river with the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit.
The search continued throughout the day and shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) located the body of Mark Nevins.
A post mortem examination will be conducted as the investigation into the cause of death continues.
