Police Find Black Fentanyl At A Hotel Room In Orillia, Charges Laid

The Orillia OPP say they seized a quantity of Black Fentanyl and Cocaine and charged one individual with multiple related charges as a result of a search warrant executed in Orillia.

On March 17, 2022, several OPP resources executed a search warrant at a hotel room in Orillia.

As a result of the investigation, the following was seized:

· Black Fentanyl

· Cocaine

· Canadian Currency

· Packaging Material

· Drug Paraphernalia

As a result of the investigation, Kyle Hope, 25 of North York, has been charged with:

· Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl

· Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

· Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000

· Obstruct a Peace Officer

The accused party is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia in April 2022, to answer to the charges.

This investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending.

The Orillia OPP are warning the public about the dangers of illicit drugs. When you buy drugs on the street, there is no way to know what you are getting, and the consequences could be lethal. If you buy and consume any type of illicit drug, you are putting yourself and potentially others at extreme risk.
