The Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a home invasion that occurred at a residence in the City of Orillia.
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, shortly after 10:20 p.m., members of the Orillia OPP responded to a reported home invasion at a residence on Barrie Road near Mississaga Street West. Preliminary investigation indicates that four suspects entered the residence, one of whom was believed to be armed with a weapon and assaulted an occupant before fleeing the scene. One individual was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing, and is being lead by the Orillia OPP Crime Unit, with assistance from the OPP Forensic Identification Services and the Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT).
