Orillia Man Faces Drug Charges Again

The Orillia OPP has arrested and charged a vehicle driver again with a drug offence and driving infractions following a vehicle stop in Orillia.

On January 30, 2021, just after 1:00 a.m., officers observed a traffic violation on Barrie Road and proceeded to stop the vehicle. It was discovered that the driver did not have a current driver’s license and further investigation led to the seizure of a quantity of cocaine.

The driver, David Shirk, age 34, of Orillia, was subsequently arrested and has been charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Driver – fail to properly wear seat belt

The accused was released again and is set to appear in court on April 06, 2021
