The Orillia 2026 Ontario Winter Games are back for the second weekend of competition. Week Two kicks off with the Opening Ceremonies at 7 p.m. tonight in Centennial Park, welcoming athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators for the final weekend of this province-wide celebration of sport.

Opening Ceremonies will feature an Athlete’s Parade, speeches from dignitaries and sponsors, the lighting of the Ontario Winter Games cauldron, and fireworks. Members of the public are invited to attend these free events and celebrate sport, community, and provincial pride.

“As Orillia welcomes athletes from across the province for the second weekend, the 2026 Ontario Winter Games will stand as a memorable celebration of athletic excellence and the unifying power of sport,” said Neil Lumsden, Minister of Sport. “These Games will shine a spotlight on the talent, hard work and dedication of the young athletes invited to compete. Our government is proud to support Orillia in hosting an event that creates lasting memories, boosts the local economy and reinforces Ontario’s reputation as a leader in sport development and a host for world-class events.”

“Week Two is an exciting continuation of what has already been an unforgettable Games,” said Orillia Mayor Don McIsaac. “From the slopes to the pool, Orillia is proud to welcome Ontario’s top athletes for another weekend of competition, teamwork, and inspiration.”

The second week of competition will feature alpine skiing, artistic swimming, 5-pin bowling, cross country, para nordic, fencing, futsal, snowboard, and wrestling. Athletes from across the province will showcase their skills across venues in Orillia and Simcoe County.

“Seeing the athletes return for Week Two is a reminder of the power of sport in creating memories and inspire future leaders,” said Will LaFrance, General Manager, Orillia 2026 Ontario Winter Games. “We are proud to continue celebrating the dedication and talent of these young athletes.”
