The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU), with assistance from the OPP Nottawasaga Detachment and members of the OPP Digital Forensics Unit, have arrested and charged an Alliston resident following a child sexual exploitation investigation.
On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Alliston and seized a number of electronic devices.
As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, Chris Weise, 54 years old of Alliston, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material, section 163.1 (4.1)
- Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material, section 163.1(4)
The investigation revealed that the accused is an OPP Sergeant with 28 years of service who is currently on an unrelated leave of absence.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
