OPP Investigating Two Stolen Snowmobiles In Gravenhurst

The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of two snowmobiles in Gravenhurst.

On Monday, February 9, 2026, Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a report of a theft of a snowmobile that occurred during the very early morning hours, likely between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. from an address on First Street South in Gravenhurst. The snowmobile is described as a yellow Ski-Doo MXZ possibly bearing marker 839229.

On Thursday, February 12, 2026 Bracebridge OPP officers responded to another theft of a snowmobile that had occurred during the early morning hours from an address on David Street, east of Bethune Drive, in Gravenhurst. The snowmobile is described as a 1994 Ski-Doo MXZ, yellow and black in colour, bearing marker 780373.

On Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 5:40 a.m., an officer was conducting proactive patrols in the town of Bracebridge and observed a snowmobile matching the description of the stolen snowmobiles travelling southbound on Manitoba Street near Kimberly Avenue in Bracebridge, and again on Dill Street near Wellington Street. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however the snow vehicle failed to stop and fled, and in the interest of public safety, officers did not engage in a pursuit.
