Haliburton Highlands OPP say they have charged a driver with operation while impaired as a result of several traffic complaints.
On June 19, 2021, at 4:15 p.m., officers from the Haliburton Highlands OPP and City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 35.
Responding officers located the vehicle after multiple complaints were received regarding the same vehicle.
37-year-old Justin Fisher of Peterborough was arrested and charged with operation while impaired- alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden, on July 7, 2021. Their driver’s licence was also suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days.
