The Muskoka Pioneer Power Association has been operating as a not for profit organization in Bracebridge for over 35 years. Its membership of approximately 200 are passionate about preserving and restoring antique farm and forest equipment.
They are also passionate about local health care.
This was demonstrated recently with a generous $1,000 donation to the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation (SMHF) to support new equipment at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.
Club President Frank Duck and Secretary/Treasurer Diane Kennedy and presented SMHF Executive Director Leah Walker with a cheque for the proceeds.
“Funds are raised from our participation at the Bracebridge Fall Fair and our annual 3 day Muskoka Pioneer Power Show at J.D. Lang Activity Park” says Diane, “The show features heritage display
rooms, demonstrations, antique tractor pulls, classic & antique vehicles, engine displays, a grand parade and more.”
“We are so grateful for the support from this group.” says SMHF Executive Director Leah Walker
“Antique farm equipment is one thing, antique hospital equipment is another. We rely on our community to ensure we have the most up to date tools and technology to care for our patients and Muskoka Pioneer Power Association is a long standing partner.”
