An individual from Southern Ontario has been fined $1,500 for the following moose hunting violations:

Bronislaw Dul of Mississauga pleaded guilty to hunting a calf moose without a licence. He was fined $1,500.

The Ontario Court of Justice heard that on October 21, 2024, Dul was hunting for moose with a hunting party near the town of Huntsville. A member of his hunting party harvested a calf moose that morning despite Dul not having claimed or purchased his calf licence. To cover up the unlawfully harvested calf, Dul travelled to a licence issuer and purchased his unclaimed calf tag after the fact. The tag was then invalidated for a time after the tag purchase.

Justice of the Peace Carolyn A. Noordegraaf heard the case in the Ontario Court of Justice, Bracebridge, on November 5, 2025.
