Huntsville OPP Charge Two Drivers With Impaired Driving

The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two drivers with impaired operation in Huntsville.

On Friday, October 2, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a disturbance involving 2 individuals in a vehicle on Aspdin Road in the Town of Huntsville. Officers located the vehicle a short time later and initiated a traffic stop on Tait Street in Huntsville where officers entered into an impaired driving investigation.

As a result, Cory Gooding, 32 years old of Huntsville, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 60 in the Town of Huntsville. As a result of observations made during the stop, officers entered into an impaired driving investigation.

As a result, Roy Winterick 44 years old of Barrie, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

All accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge in November.
