Haliburton Highlands OPP Recover $45,000 Worth Of Stolen Property

On December 14, 2022 Haliburton Highlands and City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) along with the OPP Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant on Trappers Trail in the Municipality of Dysart et al where stolen property in excess of $45,000 was recovered.

In October 2022 the Haliburton Highlands OPP Community Street Crime Unit commenced an extensive investigation into reports of numerous break and enters and thefts.

As a result of this investigation Rodney Fowler (age 37) of Dysart et al has been charged with:

Break, Enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence

Possession of property obtained by Crime Under $5000 (5 Counts)

Possession of property obtained by Crime Over $5000 (2 Counts)

Careless storage of a Firearm

Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.

Police have recovered a large amount of stolen property and are endeavoring to identify the owners.
