On December 25, 2022, at 9 p.m., Renfrew OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint on Hwy 17. It was reported that a driver was travelling westbound on highway 17 in Horton Township and was believed to be impaired.
Officers located the vehicle. As a result of the investigation, Matthew Swan, 68 years old of Gravenhurst, ON, was charged with:
· Failure or Refusal to comply with demand
· Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Renfrew on February 1, 2023.
