The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a single motor vehicle collision where one person has died, and one person has been transported to a Parry Sound area hospital with serious injuries.
On August 15, 2024, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 400 near the Town of Parry Sound.
The investigation is on-going with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E) team and as a result Highway 400 southbound lanes are currently closed between Parry Sound Drive and Bowes Street. There is currently no timeline for when the southbound lanes will be reopened.
