Officers from the Huntsville OPP are investigating a fatal collision.
On February 22, 2023, just after 9 p.m., Huntsville OPP, Muskoka Paramedic Services and the Huntsville / Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to a report of a serious single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 southbound south of Madill Church Road.
As a result of the collision, a 32-year-old, male driver from Alliston was transported by Paramedics to hospital after being ejected from the vehicle with life-threatening injuries. The male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The name of the male has not been released.
Highway 11 southbound between Madill Church Road and Stephenson Road 12 was closed for approximately 3.5 hours while officers conducted their investigation. All lanes have re=opened.
The Traffic Collision Investigation (TCI) team of the OPP attended to assist with the investigation.
