The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged the operator of an e-scooter after a collision in Bracebridge.
On Friday, August 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched to reports of a collision on Wellington Street at Santas Village Road in Bracebridge between an e-scooter and a motor vehicle. The operator of the e-scooter, a 16-year-old from Bracebridge, was transported to hospital with minor injuries and subsequently charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act. No other injuries were reported.
Police would like to remind all road users that it is everyone’s responsibility to follow the rules of the road to ensure that everyone reaches their destination safely.
