Driver Faces Impaired And Stunt Driving Charges After Going 50 Km/hr Over Speed Limit

A London man is facing impaired driving and stunt driving charges after a traffic stop in Bracebridge.

On Thursday, May 12 just before 8 p.m., a Bracebridge OPP officer was conducting speed enforcement on Ecclestone Drive in Bracebridge when he stopped a vehicle travelling more the 50 km/hr in excess of the posted limit. After a conversation with the driver and subsequent investigation, police arrested and charged 34-year-old David Farris of London, ON with Operation While Impaired, Over 80 and Stunt driving.

Farris will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 7 to answer to his charges. Furthermore, his driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded.
