The Orillia OPP have arrested and charged a Peterborough man with impaired driving following a traffic stop in the Severn Township.
On June 13, 2022, shortly after 12 a.m, officers on patrol stopped a vehicle for Stunt driving on highway 11. Upon speaking with the driver an impaired driving investigation was initiated. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the OPP detachment for further investigation.
As a result, Shawn Farnham, age 29, of Peterborough, ON, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is set to appear on July 5, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia. His vehicle was impounded for 7-days and he was issued an Administrative Drivers Licence suspension for 90 days.
