Driver Charged With Impaired After Crash On Hwy. 11 In Oro-Medonte

The Orillia OPP have arrested and charged an individual from Severn with impaired driving after police received a complaint of a single vehicle collision on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte.

On March 27, 2023, around 9:20 pm, officers were dispatched to reports of single vehicle collision, where the vehicle struck the guardrail losing its wheel, and crashed into the ditch. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired driving and transported to a neighbouring police service for further investigation.

As a result, Daphne Ager, age 35, of Severn, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused was released on an Undertaking and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on May 2, 2023. Their Drivers Licence was suspended automatically for ninety days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
