Charges Laid After Wrong Way Collision On Hwy. 11 In Huntsville

The Huntsville OPP has charged a driver after a vehicle was driving the wrong way on Highway 11 and struck a transport truck.

On April 18, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a vehicle was driving the wrong way on Highway 11 Southbound in the Town of Huntsville and struck a transport truck. Police, Fire and Paramedics attended the scene. The driver of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The driver and passenger of the transport truck were not injured.

Both lanes of Highway 11 Southbound at Gryffin Lodge Road were closed during the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old male from the Town of Huntsville was charged with Dangerous operation.

The name of the accused was not released.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on May 28, 2024.
