Calling all talented artists and craftspeople. The City of Orillia is looking for vendors to be a part of the City’s special Artisan Market set to take place at Couchiching Beach Park to celebrate the popular Sunday Evening Band Concert series this summer.

“We are thrilled to have the beloved Sunday Evening Band Concert series return to the Rotary Aqua Theatre this summer. This new artisan’s market aims to provide artists and makers with an opportunity to showcase their work in Couchiching Beach Park and will help us kick off and wrap up the series,” said Mayor Don McIsaac.

The artisan markets will be held on June 23, 2024, and Aug. 25, 2024, and are scheduled to run in tandem with the concerts from 4 to 8:30 p.m. The cost to participate is $40 per market and space is limited. Applications are available at orillia.ca/musicinthepark with a deadline of March 15, 2024. Applicants can apply to participate at one or both markets.

The City will be working with the Orillia Museum of Art and History and the Art in Public Places Committee to select vendors. Vendors will be chosen based on the uniqueness and quality of products, contributing to the overall diversity and appeal of the market.

“Whether you’re an established artist or emerging talent, we welcome a diverse range of artisans to be part of this dynamic market,” said Allie Bradford, Culture Coordinator. “Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your work and connect with our community.”
