Cheryl Amo of Bracebridge receives her lottery winning at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto on December 6.

Cheryl Amo from Bracebridge won the INSTANT SONIC MULTIPLIER receiving $250,000 on December 6, according to a press release from OLG.

The winning ticket was purchased for $10 at Circle K on Wellington Street in Bracebridge. Amo won the game’s top prize.

The 52-year-old grandmother says she plans to help her children with the windfall and take a family vacation.

“I won a small prize with this game, so I stuck with it,” said Amo to OLG while at the Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I played my ticket and then checked it on my phone and sat there in disbelief.”

Amo says she told her sister and family about the big win immediately. “My sister teared up,” she said.
