Additional Youth Arrested; Further Charges Laid After Stolen Vehicles, Break And Enters, And Collisions In Parry Sound

The West Parry Sound Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has made a fourth arrest and laid additional charges in connection with an ongoing stolen vehicle investigation.

Between 11:15 p.m. on February 5, 2026, and 12:30 p.m. on February 6, 2026, members of the West Parry Sound OPP responded to a series of interconnected incidents involving stolen motor vehicles, break and enters, and motor vehicle collisions.

As the investigation progressed, officers linked three additional stolen vehicle occurrences to the accused parties. Police have now recovered a total of seven stolen vehicles, several of which were involved in collisions. To date, 68 charges have been laid in relation to this investigation.

On February 13, 2026, a fourth youth – a 15-year-old from Parry Sound – was arrested and charged with:

  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle – three counts
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – two counts
  • Mischief Over $5,000

The accused was held for bail and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 25, 2026.

  • Park on Highway – Interfere with Traffic

A 16-year-old from Parry Sound is further charged with:

  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle – two counts
  • Mischief Over $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – two counts

A 15-year-old from Georgian Bay Township is further charged with:

  • Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
  • Perform Stunt – Racing
  • Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence
  • Fail to Remain

The accused persons were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on March 5, 2026.

In accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), the identities of the accused will not be released.
