As a result of an ongoing police investigation, members of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit from Southern Georgian Bay, Huronia West and Collingwood Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police executed a search warrant at a Robert Street, Midland residence at approximately 10:46 p.m. April 27, 2023. Investigators assisted by uniform Detachment members arrested twelve people found in the residence.
Investigation led to the seizure of a quantity of the following drugs- methamphetamine, fentanyl, MDMA, cocaine, numerous prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and weapons.
A number of found in persons were released unconditionally after the initial scene investigation was concluded. Charged in relation to this continuing investigation are the following individuals and their offences.
#1 Rhylee Brennan 23 years of Midland
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin).
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine.
Contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
#2 Rebecca Bouckhuyt 35 years of Tiny Township
- Failure to comply with Undertaking.
Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
#3 Alexandra Chalykoff 34 years of no fixed address Midland
- Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court.
Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
These accused persons were released from custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 8, 2023
#4 Blair Edward Clare 31 years of no fixed address Midland
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin) (two counts).
The accused was also arrested on an outstanding warrant and held for bail court and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date.
