Bracebridge OPP has charged one person with several offenses after responding to a traffic complaint on Saturday morning.
Just before 9 a.m. on May 6, 2023, a member of the public called police regarding the concerning driving behaviour of another motorist on Ecclestone Drive in Bracebridge. Bracebridge OPP officers located the vehicle a short distance away on Milton Street and conducted a traffic stop. Subsequently, police arrested and charged 32-year-old Mackenzie Weaver of Bracebridge the following:
- Operation While Impaired by Drug
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order X 2
- Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon
He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 27, 2023 to answer to his charges.
