Brian Kimmons of Brechin has $259,074.50 to put toward his dreams after winning a LOTTO MAX second prize in the June 7, 2022 draw.
Brian, a 54-year-old entrepreneur, said he’s a regular lottery player and was pretty calm after discovering his win. “I was in my truck and scanned my ticket using the OLG App. I wonder if I would have been that calm if it was the jackpot. Then I started to feel disbelief,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre to collect his big win.
Brian then sent a screenshot of the win to his common-law wife. “She was so excited. She said if she were in my shoes, she’d be crying tears of joy.”
He’s going to take some time to decide what to do with this win. “Now we don’t have any excuses for why we can’t get married,” he smiled.
“I still want to win a jackpot, so I hope to be here again,” he laughed.
The winning ticket was purchased at Hasty Market on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill.
