Traffic Stop Leads To Several Drug And Weapons Charges In Orillia

The Orillia OPP have arrested and charged two adults and one youth with drug and weapons offences.

On March 26, 2022, a police investigation began after a vehicle was observed swerving on Hwy 11 north of Campbell road in Severn Township.

Officers stopped the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver, were given cause to enter into a drug investigation.

All occupants were arrested and removed from the vehicle and a search resulted in the seizure of quantities of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, cannabis and methamphetamine as well as a quantity of Canadian currency and a knife.

As a result, Chance Allick, age 22 and Ta Jaun Greaves, age 21 from Toronto have been charged with:

  • Adult Possession of proceeds of property obtained by Crime under $5000 – in Canada
  • Adult of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – cocaine
  • Adult of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)
  • Adult of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – methamphetamine
  • Adult Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – opioid (other than heroin)
  • Adult Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
  • Adult Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Adult Distribute illicit cannabis
  • Adult Possession of illicit cannabis

An additional occupant from Toronto, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YJCA) has been charged with the following as well:

  • Adult Possession of proceeds of property obtained by Crime under $5000 – in Canada
  • Carrying concealed weapon x 2
  • Possession of a weapon for Dangerous Purpose x 2
  • Failure to Comply with Release order – other than to attend court
  • Adult of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – cocaine
  • Adult of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)
  • Adult of Possession of a Schedule I Substance – methamphetamine
  • Adult Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – opioid (other than heroin)
  • Adult Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – cocaine
  • Adult Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Adult Distribute illicit cannabis
  • Adult Possession of illicit cannabis

All three suspects were held for a bail hearing, remanded into custody.
